The Karnataka Examination Authority conducted this year’s Post Graduate Common Entrance Test on the 1st of July, 2017. The Karnataka PGCET Exam-2017, is conducted to secure admissions in the Master’s courses in engineering disciplines across 178 participating institutes in the State.
The Karnataka PGCET-2017 exam is a key to entry in various courses of M.Tech, which are for a duration of 2 years, spread across various disciplines.
The candidates who had qualified GATE-2017, were exempted from appearing in the examinations.
The courses in M.Tech which are being offered through the Karnataka PGCET-2017, are by the institutes affiliated with VTU, UVCE, UBDTCE, Kuvempu and Mysore University.
The Karnataka PGCET-2017 offers courses for Master’s in Technology i the following disciplines:
Computer Science Engineering
Bio Technology, these are the Part A courses on offer while the Part B courses pertain to Mathematics and Computer Science.

Karnataka PGCET-2017 Results:
The KEA is about to declare the results of Karnataka PGCET-2017 anytime by the end of the month of July, 2017.
The Karnataka PGCET-2017 results are highly awaited as the examination provides opportunities to study in the best institutes across Karnataka.
The result of Karnataka PGCET 2017 will be released on official result declaration portal of the of the KEA, which is http://karresults.nic.in/
The candidates ma follow the algorithm given below to access their results:
(a) To access their result, the candidates will have to login on to their registered account on the link for the PGCET-2017 results.
(b) The scores and ranks of the candidates will be available in the merit list prepared y the KEA.
Different merit lists will be released for Karnataka PGCET-2017 qualified candidates, and GATE qualified and Kuvempu/Mysore applicants.
Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2017:
All of those candidates who have qualified for the seat allotment process, pursuant to the online counselling session which will be held for those candidates who meet the cutoff ranks.
Allotment of seats will be done based on the ranking of the candidates in the merit list.
The candidates will have to register themselves for the counselling session which will be held online tentatively in the month of August 2017.
After registering themselves, the applicants will have to report at the help centres for document verification.
Following the successful verification, the applicants will be given a verification slip and a unique key word which has to be used to select the college and course choices.
Mock allotment will also be done. Final allotment of seats will be done as per the merit and preference of the applicants. GATE qualified applicants will be given more preference than the other applicants.
