The rationale for including the TS TET-2017 as a minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher is as under.

the recruitment process;

these institutions to further improve their performance standards;
iii. It would send a positive signal to all stakeholders that the
Government lays special emphasis on teacher quality.
Satisfying the above objectives, the TS TET 2017 examination was conducted in the form of two papers. The Paper 1 was for candidates aiming to be teachers for the classes Ist to Vth, while Paper 2 was for those who wish to teach classes VIth to VIIIth.
